Hi,

My name is Michele Holland, and my love for pets led me to start PKM Pet Care. As an owner of numerous pets, I discovered that finding someone to board your animals or provide care for them when you aren't able to is difficult. I considered how I as a pet owner would want someone to take care of my babies. In 2003, with this in mind I set out to start a business that provides people the same type of care I would want for my own pets. This journey became PKM Pet Care, and for over the past five years I have gone above and beyond expectations to give my clients and their pets the care they deserve.

The name PKM Pet Care comes from the three angels in my life at the time I started my pet-stting business. The P in PKM Pet Care is Princess Lulu. She is a stray cat i adopted after her parents left and moved to the Mainland. Now she feels right at home. The K stands for Kai. He is a black lab I found on the streets of Maui. He is the big man of the house and loves to swim!! The M stands for Mylee. I adopted her from the Hawaiian Humane Society when she was just a kitten. She loves to play, wag her tail and give kisses!!

Since the start of PKM Pet Care I have welcomed some new pets to the family. Kayla or Princess Kayla, is a Hairless Chinese Crested. Recently, Tilly the Turtle and Pierre the Fish have joined the family. Our newest edition is cute and playful Maddie, another Hairless Chinese Crested.

Getting the chance to spend time with so many animals has become a part of my daily journey, and I look forward to doing my job everyday. I want my clients to be able to go on vacation or to work, and feel comfortable about their pets and homes. Your pets remain in a familiar environment, and are able to follow their daily schedules, eating habits, medications, or any other thing they are accustomed to at home. I provide each client with a journal of our daily activities, which allows you to never miss a beat in your pets life. Missing their parents is hard enough!!! Pet Sitters International (PSI) Accreditation Letter:

Pet sitters International (PSI), an educational organization for professional pet sitters, announced today the successful completion of the Pet Sitting accreditation course by Michele Holland, of PKM Pet Care in Honolulu Hawaii.

This course is part of four distinct accreditation programs offered by PSI to its membership, internationally. The course contains animal science study materials along with pet sitting text and audiotape, making them the first and only specialized programs designed strictly for professional pet sitters. The final exams for the courses are proctored and graded by Education Direct, working in alliances with PSI.
